Connectivity is the interlinking of computers and other devices to the network and other electronic resources.
Connectivity problems manifest themselves in various ways such as the inability to access network storage space such as your H: Drive or an error while trying to display a web page.
Most connectivity issues are simple to solve and involve basic common sense. Are the connections between the computer and the network active? The first thing you should verify is that the network connection on the back of your computer is active with blinking lights.
If the lights at the connection where the ethernet cable plugs into the computer are not lit and flashing, verify that the connections on both ends are made properly. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the connections at the computer and at the wall first. If the lights suddenly begin flashing, your problem is solved.
You may have to log off and back on to the computer to re-establish connections to the network resources.
If you have blinking lights at your connection and you still cannot access the Internet or the network resources, contact the Technology Department.
