The strength of a laptop is it's mobility. Not having to be tethered to an electrical cord or network wire makes it possible to be productive anywhere. The most common connectivity issue with a laptop is the accidental disabling of the wireless network. This is because on some laptops, there is a slider switch along the side of the base that gets accidentally moved into the off posistion when handling the computer.
If your wireless network connection is not working, search the edges of the laptop for such a slider switch and try both positions to see if it resolves your problem.
